My annual biking day came, so i geared up and went downs stairs to grab my bike, i noticed the cover was torn, like someone wiggled the handle bar hard, i thought someone tried getting his bike out room, and mine was getting in his way. my bike had that new york graded ktyponite lock on it,
cost like 100$, which was used to go on my CBR250 few years back [link].
i start getting it out, as i get it out the darkness, and light shines through, i notice duct tape inside, i think to myself, when did i leave it there, and immediately thought , someone could easily drop stuff in the little bag i put on the bike. then i opened it wide open and saw rolling paper and a burner phone,
my heart sunk. i left it as it is, went outside, then came back to take a video, and thought, this belongs to someone, i cant mess with criminals, I’m afraid for my safety.
i went outside, there was a shady guy sitting in the garage, hood up, electric bike by him, i went past him several times and he never noticed, his back was facing the outside.
i thought about calling police, but i cant trust them, and i don't wanna get into conflict with underground people.
i called 2 friends who were familiar with the police system, they called their contacts and told me to leave it as it is, i cant be helped. so i did. i couldn't let them have my bike, i need it. i detached the bag, and left it on the ground as it was, not taking anything.
